So, the book is now published. Gender Confusion: Tracing the Societal and Spiritual Origins of Modern Gender Theory is now available for sale on my publisher’s website and on Amazon.com.
The process was arduous, with the drafting, editing, submitting, cover designing, press release, and marketing plan. Unlike my previous work, Prodigal Father (also on Amazon.com), Gender Confusion is of the instructive sort. Prodigal Father, a semi-biographical novel, was a cathartic exercise—though, feel free to be instructed by the story of a father looking for who to blame for his wife’s death from natural causes.
Origins
Gender Confusion, as the subtitle suggests, traces the origins of an ideology that is infesting Western culture—metastasizing, at will, from one stratum to the next. It considers the question How did we get into this mess?, though among the book’s first considerations is What exactly is this mess composed of?
Also considered is What shall we do about it? To not consider how to clean up the mess would, I thought, be a rhetorical injustice. So, as the issue at hand is controversial, so is the answer to the issue.
I’ve already gotten push-back from friends with whom I’ve discussed the book, on how we ought to respond to this current onslaught. Their view is that Christians are either not called to this fight or might better spend their time on other more spiritual pursuits directly referenced in scripture.
My view is that the truth is worth defending, especially when the corruption of the truth is resulting in the erosion of the family, the mutilation of those made in the image of God, and copious amounts of death and despair all around us. I’m hoping that, upon my friends’ reading of the book, they might have a change of heart and see that this battle is worth engaging in.
Gender Confusion considers but two origins of modern gender ideology: the ancient and the modern.
The ancient and spiritual source of its origin goes back to ancient Mesopotamia and the unholy trinity of Baal, Molech, and Ishtar, the last of which was the primary mover and shaker of deviant sexuality, including homosexuality, cross-dressing, genital mutilation, and transsexualism. These are the spiritual forces that are directly referenced in scripture; they have been arrayed against the people of God for thousands of years.
Ishtar’s symbol, then, was the rainbow; it still is, though the LGBTQQNIAA2+++ community, generally, doesn’t realize it. They’re in the same sex cult as ancient Ishtar worshippers and don’t know it. She’s fine with anonymity.
The societal origin of modern gender theory, and all of the ideological baggage that goes with it, begins with Sigmund Freud. Though, it could possibly go back a little further to the nation’s first drag queen, a freed slave named William Dorsey Swann. Though, Swann wasn’t an ideologue; he was merely a protype of the modern cross-dresser.
Gender theory’s ideological origins, beyond Freud, include anthropologists, like Margaret Mead; other strictly feminist writers; the corrupt pedagogist Harris Kornstein, who helped to bring Drag Queen Story Hour to libraries and schools; as well as pedophiles like Harry Hay and sexologist “researchers” Alfred Kinsey and John Money.
As the reader will discover, when digesting Gender Confusion, the goal of every gender ideologue is to corrupt the next generation and to decimate the nuclear family. Any godly, traditional notion of family is, to them, anathema and must be subverted.
Gender Confusion exposes the cult of this ideology: its origins, tenets, and proponents. Also exposed is the cult’s hypocrisy. As with any cult, in certain settings, when asked, they will deny certain things, like the grooming and indoctrination of children—as the case is, here—yet elsewhere they freely admit to that being their goal. That is, if they deny it, they’re lying.
Truth to Overcome Lies
We’re told that whosoever “does not do what [Jesus] commands is a liar.” These ideologues care not for the commands of God and live lives bent on disobedience. They are lawless and a law unto themselves—as were we, until we had submitted ourselves to God’s law and had his law written upon our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33); they are therefore liars and lie in order to propagate every sort of sexual narcissism imaginable. And then some.
This ideology must be stopped. Michael Knowles was right. It “must be eradicated from public life entirely—the whole preposterous ideology—at every level.”
But the evil of this belief system cannot be prevailed against until the church first realizes that the gates of hell cannot prevail against the onslaught that the church can bring to bear upon its doorsteps (Matthew 16:18). The church must go from defenders of the faith to launching offensives against the enemy’s camp. God is looking for violent men to join his army and forcefully advance his kingdom; he wants those who are prepared to do violence to the kingdom of darkness (Matthew 11:12).
This is not a time for the spiritually faint at heart. The time to step up is now. This is the time to take the enemy to task—in every way possible.
We are equipped with the truth (Ephesians 6:14), which holds up the rest of our armor: righteousness, readiness, faith, and salvation (Ephesians 6:14 – 17). These are defensive weapons. Our weapon for offense is the sword of the spirit, which we wield at the behest of our commander-in-chief, under the direction of his spirit within us.
The Left-out Part
With the spiritual and ideological / societal background of this corruption discussed in Gender Confusion, another possible cause has not been addressed, as it has only recently been brought to light. And any public consideration of this possibility puts one firmly at risk of being labeled a conspiracy theorist.
The outward and the upward have been considered. This last avenue of attack is inward.
What might be in us that shifts the needle even further into the red zone? The general trend precipitated by this movement is to emasculate men, and it’s happening throughout the Western World (Asia and Africa, for the most part, are not participating. See what Uganda has done to legally combat homosexuality in its country; Kenya is considering following suit).
NPR reported in 2017, “Sperm counts appear to be plummeting throughout the Western world, according to a large study of men around the world.” That is, while men are being emotionally emasculated through the social contagion (and spiritual warfare) of gender theory, there’s more to it; there’s actual physical evidence of this loss of masculinity.
While some on the left consider this the stuff of conspiracy theorists, even CNN is reporting on it. Their headline from November 18th, 2022, reads “Sperm counts may be declining globally, review finds, adding to debate over male fertility.”
But this isn’t the cause. It’s but the symptom. Again, what’s the cause? An alleged conspiracy theorist named Robert F. Kennedy, Junior may have the answer.
RFJ, Jr. was interviewed by Dr. Jordan Peterson, a couple of weeks ago. In that interview, he said:
I think a lot of the problems we see in kids and particularly boys um it's probably under-appreciated on that how much of that is coming from chemical exposures, including a lot of the sexual dysphoria that we're seeing that you know that these kids are being overwhelmed by a tsunami. I mean, they're swimming through a soup of toxic chemicals today and many of those are endocrine disruptors.
There's [the weed-killer and endocrine disruptor] atrazine throughout our water supply. Atrazine, by the way, if you, in a lab, put atrazine, in a tank full of frogs, it will feminize every frog in there and ten [percent] of the frogs, the male frogs, will turn into fully viable females able to produce reliable eggs. And if you if it's doing that to frogs, there's a lot of other evidence that it's doing it to human beings as well.
Is Bobby Junior crazy? The overlords at YouTube want us to think so, which is likely why they took the interview off their platform (it can still be found on Rumble, here). As to be expected, LGBTQ Nation calls his thoughts on the subject a “crackpot theory.”
The University of California Berkley, on the other hand, confirms Kennedy’s proposal, at least as far as it applies to frogs. His detractors would say So what? to that, since we have no idea of atrazine entering the metabolisms of men.
Or do we? In one state alone—Texas—nearly 500 water utilities have tested positive for the chemical. According to the Texas Tribune, “utilities are testing water during times when the herbicide isn't being used as much — and [as a result] that they may be lowballing the results.” If the results are lowballed, what are the actual numbers?
But this is just Texas, right? No. The U.S. Geological Survey indicates that atrazine is contaminating the groundwater in nearly every state, to varying degrees, with the heaviest concentrations in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, eastern Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, and New Jersey (see the map, below).
Another endocrine disruptor is Bisphenol A, commonly known as BPA. This is a synthetic organic compound used in the manufacture of epoxy resins and other polymers and is often found in cans and plastics and other types of food packaging, as well as in clothing, such as socks, sports bras, and athletic shirts, according to the Center for Environmental Health (CEH).
As the CEH also reports, “Worrisome BPA Levels [have been] Found In Sportswear By Nike, Adidas, [and] Patagonia,” among others. They note that BPA’s side-effects include high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and—as relevant to this discussion—infertility.
Tufts University Associate Professor of Medical Education Beverly Rubin writes on the NIH’s website Pubmed (and in Science Direct Magazine) that BPA is “an endocrine disruptor with widespread exposure and multiple effects.” She notes specifically, “Although initially considered to be a weak environmental estrogen, more recent studies have demonstrated that BPA may be similar in potency to estradiol,” a synthetic female hormone prescribed help reduce menopausal symptoms.
BPA also alters the estrogen level in the uteruses of pregnant women. As a result, it feminizes the brains of baby boys. It does so by affecting the third interstitial nucleus of the anterior hypothalamus in the brain, known for short as the INAH-3. Wikipedia notes that the INAH-3 region is larger in men and in heterosexuals.
From this we can conclude that BPA—whether it’s absorbed by clothing worn by women and transmitted to their unborn sons, or consumed by boys in food packaging—is another environmental feminizing agent. Between this and the atrazine that has leeched into our groundwater, masculinity is under attack, chemically.
And, as I outline in Gender Confusion, masculinity is also under attack from the spirit realm and from society, at large. The attack is on three fronts: the inward (environmental), outward (society), and the upward (spiritual)—or, the downward, as the case may be.
This is why we are losing. It’s because we’re under attack from multiple angles on multiple fronts. Only a well-equipped church can succeed in this battle. It’s time we took up our spiritual weapons, stood on our post, awaited our marching orders, and advanced upon the enemy.
Should we fail in our mission, the enemy will have won the day. He will have run roughshod upon the church and the society in which it is planted. We can’t let him do that.
It’s time to rise up and not fight like hell—as one former president had said, on January 6th. No, it’s time we fought against hell, with all of the spiritual weapons at our disposal.
I read your article and couldn't agree more. It is a battle. The devil trying to destroy those made in the image of God and marring that image in us. Man trying to become woman, woman trying to be man, both getting lost in the process. Deception and foolishness. Thank you for being a light, exposing the darkness and showing the way.
Kevin your insight into the chaos we are surrounded with today is a
useful fighting tool, a reminder to all true believers to fight against evil and not be conformed to the things of this world.
I thank you for your boldness as you are called by the Spirit, encouraging and not backing down to expose evil in our midst. You will be faced with criticism, opposition from strangers and even friends, as you mentioned, but, so were the apostles and Christ himself.
We know the truth will always prevail over darkness. So, Kevin, I pray your book, “Gender Confusion “ and these blogs will be like an oil lamp shining bright in this dark world to guide those who are blinded.
